I am Shaughan Woodcock, Director of SDW Event Management. I am an experienced event planner with particular expertise in the complex planning of street festivals and parades. I work with a number of Communities and Business Associations to bring professional, fun, timely and creative community events to their areas.
SDW Event Management also specialises in personal occasions like weddings, team building events, award ceremonies, prize givings … you name it … to create special memories.

What We Do
Trade Expos & Shows
We are a seasoned event management company for Trade Expos. We have joined with partners to provide the latest technology to make your expo seamless for both exhibitors and visitors. We will show you how digital show guides, and an app for both visitors and exhibitors, will ensure everyone is connected in the right way. The app also has an advantage of combining a QR Code, which makes running competitions for exhibitors a breeze and exhibitors are left with an electronic database to tap into at the end of the expo. A Trade Expo is where technology absolutely wins and SDW Events prides itself on fully embracing the new trends.
Street Parades & Festivals
Managing Street Festivals and Street Parades is a complex task. Multiple relationships need to be managed, Council regulations adhered to, road closures managed, health and safety plans approved, transport impacts soothed, sponsorship found, sound and lighting and, most importantly, a direct line to the weather gods! SDW Events manages all of this plus everything else with good humour, professionalism and a very sharp eye on the detail. You can entrust your major event to us.
Community Events
SDW Event Management has long standing associations with Local Boards, Auckland Council and Business Associations, we have managed some large and small community events, festivals, fairs and cultural and heritage events. It is testament to our successes and to the enjoyment of the participants that we are invited back each year to run the annual events.
